Four+ decades in the field
Nelson Tucker began his career in process serving in 1978, working as a field agent for a regional legal services firm in California. Within five years he had launched his own practice, building it from a one-man operation into a multi-agent firm serving law firms, corporate legal departments, and government agencies across the country.
Over the course of his career, Tucker has personally served documents in all 50 states and has trained hundreds of field agents — from new entrants to the profession to experienced servers looking to sharpen their skills. His training programs are known for their practical, no-nonsense approach: real scenarios, real techniques, and real accountability.
Modern Methods of Process Serving grew out of Tucker's training curriculum — the book he wished had existed when he was starting out. It distills four decades of field experience into a single, comprehensive guide that covers everything from legal compliance and skip tracing to business development and the future of the profession.
